Featured Projects
The Institute works with partners, artists, participants, health organisations, and the community to create and test arts and health projects and concepts.
We create new work, building stronger artists and creative leaders and nurturing partnerships with health organisations.
With participants, artists, therapists and administrators we create beautiful music, we dance, we celebrate community resilience, whilst collecting and using evidence to support people to be healthier and happier.
We ensure that all of our pilot programs result in tangible and meaningful artistic and health outcomes and models of practice that can be shared to progress the Arts and Health sector.
Our latest projects include:
- Out of The Shadows – songwriting with people who have experienced family violence and/or sexual assault
- An ongoing research and program development partnership with Chris O’Brien Lifehouse – Music in Cancer Care project.
Past Projects
- Hand Hygiene - ‘Dance it in’
- Lithgow Music and Health Pilot Project in partnership with Westfund Health – ‘Health Rocks’ and ‘Dying Well’.
- ‘Refugees Women’s Arts Project’, and a Young Mums and Dads project (MAD) and can be seen here.
